Who is Hiring?
This job is from the African Union Commission (AU). It is for a department called Africa CDC. That stands for Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. They help African countries stay safe and healthy. The job will be under the Supply Chain Division of the Administration Directorate. You will report to the Head of Supply Chain Division.
What Will You Do?
As a Quality Assurance Officer, your main job is to check that all items bought, stored, and used by Africa CDC are good and safe. You will make sure they follow rules, standards, and high-quality procedures. You will:
- Write rules to check product quality.
- Visit stores and suppliers to check how things are made or kept.
- Help solve problems if products are not good.
- Train other people on how to check for quality.
- Work with different teams to make sure all steps are done well.
- Test and inspect goods.
- Keep records of everything checked.
- Help suppliers do better work.
- Make reports and share them with your team.
Who Can Apply?
You must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of these fields:
- Pharmacy
- Chemistry
- Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
With a Bachelor’s degree, you need at least 5 years of work experience in quality assurance.
With a Master’s degree, you need at least 2 years of experience.
You also need:
- Good knowledge of quality rules like ISO, GMP, and others.
- To be good at finding and solving problems.
- To have experience in public health or international work (preferred).
- To speak at least one AU language (English, French, Arabic, Kiswahili, Portuguese, or Spanish).

You need to be:
- Organized
- Good at talking and writing
- Good at solving problems
- Able to work with other teams
- Focused on quality and improvement
What Will You Get?
If you are international staff, you will get $85,212.07 per year.
If you are local staff, you will get $66,751.81 per year.
This includes all allowances. The contract is for one year, and you may get another contract if your work is good and there is money to continue the job.
