In Rwanda, many students walk to school, help their families, and do homework. These are all part of their daily routines.

It’s something you know well, so it’s easy to talk about — even if your English is basic.

Final Words from a Rwandan English Teacher

As an English teacher in Rwanda, I always tell my students: “Talk about your life in English!” When you speak about your daily routine, you use real English. You use words that matter to you. Start small. Speak slowly. Practice often. You don’t need big grammar. Just small, true words every day.
